Ashtanga and Yogaflow

The Ashtanga yoga workshop will take place this Sunday at 2:00pm at Morning Glory Yoga Studios. It will be taught by Karen Higgins, owner and manager of Longview Yoga Studios. This is the fourth and final class of the series, but students interested in attending need not have attended the first three classes to participate. Ashtanga is a fast paced class that is practiced in a warm room, so be prepared to move and sweat. The cost of the class is $25.00.

And speaking of guest instructors and yoga workshops, Jim Turner, who has taught at Morning Glory in the past, will be returning to lead a special two day long workshop focusing on Yogaflow. Join Jim Friday, July 17th, from 6:30 to 8:00pm, and explore how the body feels in flow through building the foundation for strong postures and developing integration of asana and breath. On Saturday, July 18th, there will be two sessions. The first will take place from 10:00 to 11:30am and will help students develop the foundations necessary to move deeper into inversion practices. Postures will include Handstand, Headstand, Should-stand, and Forearm Balance. Even those who don't perform inversions are welcome to attend. After a light lunch, the workshop will continue from 1:00 to 2:30pm, where students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of hand and arm balances.

All levels of practitioners are welcome to any or all of these Yogaflow sessions. Prices for the workshop are as follows:

All three sessions: $90.00
Any two sessions: $70.00
Any one session: $40.00
